- Why should I use 49er Express?
- Faculty should use 49er Express to access course and student information and as a tool to provide students with course information. Students should use 49er Express to access web enabled student service, course information, E-mail, and calendaring.
- Why are the Self Service applications not available 24x7?
- These applications depend on the mainframe to access official data and the application must be taken offline at night for processing. The hours of operation are listed below.

- If you are logged in to 49er Express, you can click on the Help Center tab which will provide information on support and tutorials. You can also visit the Barnard Technical Support Center (Barnard 109) or go to the web page, How To Get Help. Faculty and staff should contact the Help Center for 49er Express help.

- What do I do if my 49er Express session expires?

- What happens when my E-mail box is full?
- When you reach 80% of your E-mail limit, you will receive a message letting you know that your mailbox is getting full. As you approach the limit, any mail message that exceeds the amount of space you have remaining will be rejected. Once you have reached your limit, all E-mail will be rejected.
- After one day, the sender will receive an “undeliverable” message and the server will continue to try to send the message. If it is still undeliverable by the fifth day, the server will stop trying to deliver the message.
- If I set an auto-reply message, how often is it sent?
- Your auto-reply is sent once to each sender within a 24-hour period, regardless of the number of E-mail messages you receive from that sender. The E-mail application allows you to set up an auto reply message that can be automatically sent to individuals who are sending you messages, even if you are not there to reply. Auto reply messages are convenient if you are going out of town and want to alert people that you will not be able to reply to their messages until you return. The E-mail system allows you to set up auto replies that start and end on dates that you stipulate.
- Why can’t I see the graphic in an E-mail message I received?
- Check your browser compatibility. There is a problem with certain Netscape browsers. Use Microsoft Internet Explorer as your browser and the graphic should display in the message.
