Instruction

The Center for Teaching and Learning provides teaching and learning services and support for such purposes as incorporating effective teaching methods, redesigning courses, utilizing instructional technologies, developing curricular materials, assessing student learning, aiding in research in teaching and learning, and improving classroom management. We incorporate Chickering and Gamson’s Seven Principles for Good Practice in Undergraduate Education into our everyday practice and philosophy.

Guiding instructional questions used by CTL:

  • What are the needs of the faculty and students?
  • What services can we offer to enhance, advance, and streamline teaching and learning?
  • What tools and resources will make instruction more effective and/or more efficient?
  • How do we leverage the power of e-learning to augment and deliver instruction?
  • In what ways can such instructional technologies become a change for the better?
